"I was a nobody. An average Joe with a normal life. But that was before HE came into my apartment.
The day started like any other. I went to work in the morning, got back at 5. Relaxed at home, and watch TV till I fell asleep. Exciting.
It was nothing out of the ordinary. However as I had finally dozed off, my life took a strange turn.
"CRAAACK!" my door flew open. I was startled "GAAAHH!", I thought someone was breaking in.
I looked over at the door and saw a man with a brown trench coat wearing all black clothing underneath. He looked panicked.
All the lights have oddly dimmed, no digital clocks told time, and my TV had static. He walked over to me, and I backed up into a corner.
I was trapped. "take whatever you want! Just don't hurt me!" I yelled at him. He didn’t take notice. He reached back and pulled out something
It was a large Green Crystal the size of baseball, and was as thick as a notebook.
The crystal had a weird tribal design made from what looked like gold. But the strangest part about it was a peculiar jet black glow it had.
The man towering overhead grab my shirt and ripped it off with ease, and jabbed the crystal into my chest.
Gold Lining on the crystal started to grow on my body. It grew in straight lines reaching as high as my cheek.
The design it made was the exact same on both sides of my body. I was utterly confused. And that's when the man spoke.
"You need to go." His voice was deep and scared. "They're after you now. It's all up to you!"
That's when he picked me up and threw me out the window.
"CRASH!" I fly outside into the rain, as broken glass follows me down 5 stories.
I thought my life was going to end. But it was just starting. I hit the ground. Everything goes black."
"I awoke, My body was in extreme pain....
I was astonished to be alive from the fall like that.
I slowly pulled myself up, feeling every disconnected bone go back into place.
It felt like I had a flame in my chest that would pulse from where the crystal was and go out to the rest of my body.
But there were two things I noticed. The part of the street I had landed on was cracked, and there was heavy heat on my back.
I turned around to see my apartment building in a fiery blaze. "Shit."
I looked up five stories to where my apartment should have been. I saw two men wearing masks.
The first man had a mask with a blank expression on it, but the other man, his mask was a mirror. And I could see myself in it.
I ran all through the night in the rain. Scared. I didn't know who they were, but the man with the mirror gave me chills.
And I could hear the fire trucks off in the distance. It was raining harder at the time."
